New Year at EPW |
The weather was absolutely beautiful. Mostly. The house wasn't exactly warm all over, as the underfloor heating seems to be under the impression that it's 41degreesC outside (hmm - try -10degC instead). However the wood burning stove was most impressive and the thick insulation all over seems to be working. I didn't even have a hot water bottle on the third night. We were quite good at keeping the doors closed and recycling heat back into the Nibe though (e.g. leave bath water to cool down before emptying the bath). And not opening the bathroom window to clear condensation (just let the Nibe extractors suck it out of the air instead).

Nice pictures. The font still sucks!
OK let's try Verdana.

is it just my monitor or are you much greener?
We are greener. I chose a different template when I renamed the site.
Pretty please go and modify the template to have the same fonts as the previous one. :)
OK It was originally Georgia, which was complained about. Then it was Arial (the original site's font) which was complained about, and so I've set it to Verdana which is a nice crisp sans-serif font which has also been made slightly larger, for the benefit of the poor-sighted who read this blog. I can't be bothered to change it again and get more abuse so it's staying at Verdana. Hah.
Actually it's not just the font that is bad, it's the general layout of the posts. The status line of each post ("Posted By... etc") is far too close to the body.
A colleague at work who is also a professional photographer is very impressed by these photos and says you have ( whether intentionally or instinctively) made good use of the Rule of Three and diagonal featuring.
How kind :)
My camera has a helpful grid on the lcd screen (3x3) that lets me line things up!
