right, we need to add that into the scenario about the corrie - Scots please explain what is so dire about corries? is that where you get changed into princesses? or is it where the horses hid (but I thought they were to do with free water, hence the attack on the wheel)
The Corries were quite jolly to sing along to in the car until the tape got mangled. All together now "Come fill up my cup, Come fill up my can, Come saddle my horses and call out my men..."
There is a picture saying "Stay Out Of The Corries". Obviously they only need two of them, so the land owner is politely letting people down who might be keen to join.
They have quite clearly caught fire at the end of the clip as there is loads of smoke. But the hairy one is singing melody in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av2-A-igOJk&feature=related
"our intrepid explorers, having strayed by accident into a corrie, were being chased by the Falkirk wheel horses (who had sabotaged the wheel in order to get their freedom by adjusting it to cut itself up) but were shown the way to escape by the underwater bridge by 3 giant swans
or not as the case may be"
copied from Day Trip to Glenelg where there is the warning against corries
Well, of course, usually it is huge herds of deer that are using the corries; but I supposed flighty horses are likely, too. We keep meaning to start subscribing to the Oban Times in order to keep abreast of the latest outrages in the chasing of deer from one estate to another.

Looks cold- when does Spring sping up there?
Any day now. Probably.
It was not really cold though there was a frost one night.
So- how was Eilean?
Chasing swans.
come come, swans are definitely Good Things - even if they have been very Upped
Of course, Highland ones aren't at all uppish, even though they are all actually disguised princesses.

The Corries? Well, some people thought their singing was rather naff. Where did the reference to them come in?

But where is the corrie scenario? I can't find it. We need an index to these comments.
I can't remember which Corrie is which; but I would like to point out to my detractors that I harmonise at least as well as the hairy one.

Hah. I have been stalking them through YouTube since Livy gave us that link, too. What about their Bricklayer's Song, a version of Hoffnung's story?
That would be on my blog:

People who read Buchan know why you have to stay out of the corries.
